Jina Rent a Car is a fully independent, First Nations owned Australian vehicle hire company — majority owned by the Yindjibarndi Nation of the Pilbara and the Far West Coast peoples of South Australia. No franchise, no international intermediary.
"To deliver exceptional vehicle hire experiences driven by respect, cultural integrity, and outstanding service — empowering journeys and building opportunities for the First Nations Business Sector."Our Mission
Cedrent Enterprises Pty Ltd operates as Jina Rent a Car. Jina means "foot" in Yindjibarndi and across a number of the language groups that make up the Far West Coast — a word that speaks to presence, to movement, and to the mark left on Country. Every hire supports real economic self-determination for our communities.
Traditional Owners of the Pilbara region of Western Australia — a country of ancient rivers, gorges and red earth. Their ownership of Jina reflects a deep commitment to economic sovereignty on Country.
The Far West Coast Aboriginal Corporation represents the Traditional Owners spanning the Great Australian Bight in South Australia, including the Yalata and Oak Valley communities — governed by the Kokatha, Mirning and Wirangu cultural groups.
Cedrent-operated locations are bookable directly online, through OTA channels and TMC partners — with the ability to take bookings anywhere across Australia.
Rio Tinto · BHP · Woodside Energy · Hancock Iron Ore · Monadelphous · Zeno by Serko
Jina is available on the Global Distribution System, meaning we're bookable through Sabre, Amadeus and Travelport — not just Serko Zeno. That gives corporate travel managers, TMCs and procurement teams the ability to find and book Jina through the platforms they already use, with no separate workaround required.
Cedrent Enterprises Pty Ltd is a Supply Nation registered business. Supply Nation is an online directory connecting Indigenous businesses with government and corporate procurement teams, using a five-step verification process to ensure every business listed is genuinely Indigenous owned and operated.
Cedrent Enterprises Pty Ltd is now operating as Jina Rent a Car — same business, same team, same commitment to First Nations ownership, with a new name that reflects who we are and where we come from. Jina means foot in Yindjibarndi, and Djina in the Far West Coast language groups — a mark left on Country.
Foot was the first form of transport for First Nations people — a symbol of connection to land, journeying across Country, and walking with intention.
It represents our two First Nations ownership groups — Yindjibarndi and Far West Coast — walking together in unity, building a business that reflects both our histories and our shared future.
It captures our own evolution toward independence, moving from a franchise model into a fully First Nations-led brand delivering outstanding service and real economic participation.
Piloted in Karratha and rolling out across our SA, NT and WA locations, the Supply Chain Diversity Program is modelled around Indigenous vertical integration — where each level of our supply chain, from fleet purchases through to servicing and vehicle sale, is majority owned by First Nations people.
With a planned fleet of 500 vehicles running out of Karratha, Cedrent Enterprises approaches Yurra — a First Nations majority-owned sister company formed to deliver sustainable procurement benefits to the community of Roebourne — with a service level agreement for maintenance, servicing and fitouts.
